Vintage Flower Making Kit
In addition to the contents, you will need:
PVA Glue
Glue Sticks

Clean tins with no rough edges or jam jars (From the kitchen)

Share out the egg shapes, bamboo sticks and material to your group and put the pom poms in the middle of the table or in small heaps amongst the group.
Pour the paint into dishes and place them around the table – this is for painting the stem, tin can, or the middle of the flower, rather than adding material.
To assemble the flowers:
Push the spike end of the bamboo stick into the base of the egg shape
Choose a piece of material, peel the back off and place the egg shape into the centre of the material and smooth the material over the shape and wrap around the top of the stick – just like a lollipop wrapper. You can cut any excess material off if you want to.
When applying the adhesive material, rather tham smoothing it over you can pinch the material in a cross either side of the top of the bud so it will look like a tulip.
Once the flower is made, you can paint your bamboo stick by holding the flower head, then leave to dry
With the Pom Poms, take one and push it on the end of a skewer then glue other pom poms around the outside. You can also add a cluster of smaller pom poms to the stick to look like a bluebell or buddleia.
While your flower is drying, decorate the container it is going in, paint a tin and then stick the adhesive ribbon around the tin
Add stickers to jam jar or tie a piece of ribbon around the neck of the jar
Once everything is dry, place your vintage flowers inside your decorated container and add in some foliage from the garden or park, place on dining room tables, or in the reception area, hang the Vintage Flag Bunting and you have a lovely display of colourful, cheerful flowers that will last all year round.
