Yes, we’re back with Oliver, our therapy doll and all our latest products at this year’s Alzheimer’s Show 2016 (June 10 & 11)! The biggest and best source of practical advice, latest products, and information for anyone who has or is supporting someone with a dementia.
The show has a wealth of exhibitors, informative talks and demonstrations over the two-day period, come along and hear Director of Activities to Share, Anna Terry give a talk on ‘Making a Connection Through Activities’. - The Alzheimer’s Theatre – leading professionals talking on a range of topics i.e: managing behaviour, risk reduction, end of life care and personal experiences of living with dementia.
- The Alzheimer’s Talks and Topics Theatre – talks covering Mental Capacity Act, legal issues, carer’s support and carers experiences.
- The Exhibitor Workshop Theatre – showcasing the latest and best products and services, including dementia environments, technology, activities and Young Onset Dementia.
- Practical Activities Workshop – sessions designed to help those who support people with dementia including: singing, horticulture, seated yoga, art and Cognitive Stimulation Therapy
Anyone who watched Chris Roberts’ personal account of coping with early onset dementia in last Thursday’s Panorama episode of ‘Living With Dementia: Chris’s Story’ and would like to hear more from him, can hear him give a talk on Saturday 12th in the Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre.
